Duncan Milroy

Duncan manages the day to day running of the charity in the volunteer role of Executive Director.

He spent a 3-month spell in Rwanda as a volunteer for SACCA in early 2008, and like so many visitors was moved by the caring and happy environment he found in the centres. He was especially taken by the way the children supported one another. On his return to the UK he helped Mark Ogle, one of SACCA’s founders, to set up Streets Ahead Rwanda, and has remained involved since.

Duncan has worked in senior management roles in the UK charity sector since 2002 after a career in the international oil industry. He is a qualified accountant, and has frequently visited Rwanda, providing direct support and advice to SACCA’s finance function.

Amanda Henry

Amanda has been a SAR board member for the past 2 years. She studied International Development in university and after teaching English in South Korea she developed a passion for working in education. She then actively looked to get involved with a charity helping to improve the lives of children at risk.

After hearing about SACCA from a family friend, she travelled to Rwanda and stayed for 3 months, getting to know the children, teaching English and helping with administration projects. Originally from Canada, she volunteered with the Canadian sister charity - Organisation Rwandan Youth at Risk. Following her move to the UK to teach primary school, Amanda got involved with SAR as a volunteer.

Amanda is now a part of the Fundraising and Communications team and writes the Newsletter for SAR. Amanda is passionate about being a part of a team that helps create opportunity to improve children’s lives in Rwanda.

Felix Holman

Felix fulfils the role of Chair of the charity.

Felix has been working in the International Development sector for nearly twenty years; 14 of which were spent working with organisations supporting street connected children around the world. During this time, Felix was commissioned to evaluate several street child projects across Africa, and has always championed the best practice of putting street connected children's' decisions at the heart of the interventions designed to support them.

Felix visited SACCA in 2011 and was impressed by the level of care and individual attention the children received in the care of SACCA. Felix now works as a consultant, largely with humanitarian relief initiatives, but safeguarding and best practice for supporting marginalised children remains her core interest.
